Job summary

Stuart Harris Recruitment is actively recruiting a Refrigeration Engineer for a growing business in the Manchester area. The role covers breakdowns, service, PPM and reactive maintenance across the North West, particularly Manchester and surrounding sites in the food and hospitality sectors.

The ideal candidate has experience with commercial refrigeration, remote cold rooms, water chilled applications, and air conditioning (split, multi-split, VRV/RF).

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial and integral refrigeration equipment.
• Knowledge of remote cold rooms, freezer rooms, and cellar cooling systems.
• Awareness of water chilled applications and air conditioning (split, multi-split, VRV/RF).
• Full UK driving licence and FGAS 2079 certification required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdown and service calls, PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Liaise with customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Work across food & hospitality sectors (food outlets, pubs, cafes, universities, hospitals, colleges).

Job description

We are actively recruiting for a Refrigeration Engineer for a successful and established business in Manchester.

As Refrigeration Engineer, you will be mainly be working in the Manchester area and the North West.

Duties:

• Breakdown and service calls, PPM and reactive maintenance
• Liaising with customers in a friendly and professional manner
• You will be working in the food & hospitality sectors e.g. food outlets, pubs, cafes, health & education establishments e.g. university sites, hospitals and colleges

- Salary negotiable *OTE £45,000-£55,000* + call out allowance + performance bonus

- Door to door pay (none of the half hour each way or deductions for travel time)

- Contracted to a 40 hour working week

- Overtime paid after 40 hours

- Overtime rates @ 1.5x / 2x

- 33 days holiday per annum

The ideal candidate must have experience of working in the following; all aspects of commercial and integral refrigeration equipment; remote cold-rooms & freezer rooms, cellar cooling equipment etc with a 'general knowledge' of water chilled applications. Aspects of air conditioning, such as split, multi-split & VRV/RF's.

Requirements:

- FGAS 2079

- Full UK driving licence

- Good fault finding skills

- Honest, punctual and trustworthy

- Takes pride in their work

- Participate in standby on a rota basis

- Installation experience preferred (but not essential)
