This role involves supervising students who have been removed from lessons or are completing an internal suspension, ensuring they remain engaged with learning and are supported to return to the classroom.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in a school or similar setting.
• Ability to remain calm, patient and confident when supporting students with challenging behaviour.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with students, staff and parents.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage competing priorities.
• Proactive, resilient and solution-focused approach with high expectations of behaviour and learning.
• Confidence in promoting a calm, structured learning environment and supporting students to reflect and re-engage with lessons.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation of the Reflection Room.
• Supervise students removed from lessons or completing an internal suspension.
• Maintain accurate records and coordinate work with teachers and senior leaders.
• Support effective behaviour interventions and help students return to class.
• Remain calm under pressure and build positive relationships with young people.
