Job summary

Clarendon Academy in Trowbridge seeks a calm, confident Cover Hub Supervisor to oversee multiple classes in a shared space. You will ensure students stay focused and complete pre-set work provided by teachers, with no planning or marking required.

Part-time role (32.5 hours/week, 39 weeks/year) starting ASAP, with strong behaviour support and a structured induction. You will join a supportive team dedicated to high standards and student wellbeing.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths grade C or equivalent.
• Passion for supporting young people.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, consistent and organised.
• Ability to remain calm and authoritative in a busy environment.
• Strong team player, good at building relationships.
• Confident, resilient and flexible attitude.
• Understands and is sympathetic to the wellbeing of young people.
• Experience of supporting students learning.
• Experience of effective classroom management as a classroom teacher or cover supervisor (advantageous).
• Desire to support students without responsibilities of planning or marking.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a purposeful learning environment for students and manage behaviour.
• Ensure pupils are engaged with their tasks and working calmly.
• Support senior leaders and other supervisory staff as needed.
