Job summary

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is seeking a Days Operator / Counterbalance FLT Driver for a busy industrial recycling site in North Derbyshire. The role combines battery sorting, recycling tasks and material handling with CBFLT operation when needed.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:00, at £16.00 per hour. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity in a heavy industrial environment with PPE provided and health & safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Valid B1 Counterbalance FLT licence – essential.
• Previous Counterbalance FLT experience – essential.
• Experience in warehouse, production, manufacturing, recycling, waste, materials handling or industrial environments.
• Comfortable working in a hot, dusty and physically demanding environment.
• Comfortable with standing and repetitive sorting work.
• Flexible and willing to work across different areas.
• Reliable with a good attitude.
• Good Health & Safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Sorting and auditing batteries on a conveyor.
• Battery recycling and production duties.
• Operating B1 Counterbalance FLT when required.

Days Operator / Counterbalance FLT Driver

£16.00 per hour | Monday-Friday | 07:30-16:00 | Temp to Perm | North Derbyshire

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are recruiting for a Days Operator / Counterbalance FLT Driver to join a busy industrial recycling site in North Derbyshire.

This is a multi-skilled industrial role involving battery sorting, recycling, production, materials handling and Counterbalance FLT operation.

Please note: this is NOT a full-time FLT driving role. The main duties involve sorting and auditing batteries on a conveyor, with Counterbalance FLT driving as part of the wider role.

The Role

Working Environment

This is a heavy industrial recycling environment involving battery processing and production.

The role can be hot, dusty and physically demanding. Full PPE and specialist respiratory protection are provided.

A site tour and blood test form part of the onboarding process, with ongoing occupational health monitoring.
