Job summary

Meridian Business Support Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver to join a busy warehouse and logistics operation in Carrington, M31.

This long-term temporary role offers £15.00 per hour (£562.50 gross per week based on a 37.5-hour week), Monday to Friday, 2:00pm–10:00pm, with immediate start and no weekend work.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence - essential.
• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT.
• Previous warehouse, logistics or industrial experience.
• Good reliability and timekeeping.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Moving pallets, stock and materials around the warehouse and yard.
• Loading and storing goods in designated areas.
• Preparing goods and materials for dispatch.
• Checking deliveries and stock where required.
• Moving materials safely around the site.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.
• Completing relevant warehouse paperwork and documentation.
• Keeping the warehouse and working areas clean, tidy and organised.
• Working as part of a team to meet daily operational targets.
• Supporting with general warehouse duties when required.

The Role
