Responsibilities

  • Increase the borough's recycling rate and reduce the amount of household residual waste via a range of projects and initiatives.
  • Work with and support residents to follow the governments Simpler Recycling practices.
  • Engage directly with householders to encourage recycling and reduce contamination in recycling bins.
  • Provide information on recycling services and challenge poor recycling behaviours.
  • Work closely with waste and recycling operational teams to monitor collection and disposal data.
  • Enforce the Council's Waste Policies.
