Job summary

KPI Recruiting Ltd is seeking a reliable Recycling Centre Operative to join our client’s busy site in the East Midlands. The role is outdoor all year, with shifts Monday to Friday 12:00–18:00 and Sunday 08:00–18:00; availability across Monday-Friday and Sundays is required.

You will assist the public, help sort and dispose of waste, provide clear advice on where items go, keep the site clean and safe, and work as part of a busy team.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual.
• Confident communicating with members of the public.
• Physically fit and able to lift and walk.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist members of the public at the recycling centre.
• Help customers sort and dispose of waste correctly.
• Provide clear, friendly advice on item placement.
• Keep the site clean, tidy and safe.
• Walk around the site regularly; assist with heavy lifting when required.

Job description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Recycling Centre Operative to join our clients busy recycling centre.

Working Hours:
Monday - Friday: 12:00pm - 6:00pm
Sunday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
Availability across Monday-Friday AND Sunday is required.

The role will involve:

• Assisting members of the public when they arrive at the recycling centre
• Helping customers correctly sort and dispose of their waste
• Providing clear and friendly advice on where different items should go
• Keeping the site clean, tidy and safe
• Regular walking around the site
• Heavy lifting and other physical duties when required
• Working as part of a team on a very busy site

PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS AN OUTDOOR ROLE ALL YEAR ROUND

You will be working outside in all weather conditions. This means hot weather during the summer and cold, wet and rainy conditions during the winter. Please only apply if you are comfortable working outdoors throughout the year.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable and punctual
