Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking a Recycling Operative to support kerbside recycling collections and waste disposal services at Haye Down Nr. Tavistock & Okehampton.

The role involves collecting and loading recyclable materials from residential and commercial properties and ensuring correct material segregation. You will work outdoors in all weather, keep work areas safe, and interact with the public in a courteous manner.

• Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy items.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Recycling Operative. This role involves supporting kerbside recycling collections and waste disposal services, helping to ensure efficient and environmentally responsible operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and load recyclable materials and waste from residential and commercial properties.


• Assist with kerbside recycling collections, ensuring correct segregation of materials.


• Work safely around collection vehicles and comply with all health and safety regulations.


• Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with members of the public.


• Maintain cleanliness and report any issues or hazards promptly.

Requirements:

Pay Rates:

£12.71 - £12.71 p/h

Shift Schedule:
