Job summary

Vertical Recruitment in Manchester is seeking a proactive Recruitment Coordinator to support our Consulting Engineering division. You will identify, approach and engage candidates, managing the process from search to interview and placement.

Working directly with James Smith, you will make outbound calls, write job adverts and build relationships with professionals across construction and engineering, while delivering a professional candidate experience.

Qualifications

• Previous recruitment experience beneficial but not essential.
• Experience in recruitment, sales, customer service or telephone-based work is valued.
• Confident, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to build relationships with candidates and clients.

Responsibilities

• Search for and identify suitable candidates using recruitment databases and sourcing platforms.
• Make regular outbound calls to prospective candidates; conduct initial screening and record details.
• Build and maintain relations with professionals across construction and engineering sectors.
• Coordinate interviews and provide feedback; maintain ongoing communication with candidates.
• Write engaging job advertisements and recruitment content; keep records updated.
• Identify potential business-development opportunities through candidate conversations and referrals.
• Provide administrative support to James and the wider recruitment team.
