Job Description:
  • Take responsibility for sourcing and shortlisting candidates for roles in the Rail sector across Engineering, Project Management, Commercial and Project Controls with knowledge of Rail vacancies, companies and projects.
  • Build relationships with internal Line Managers, candidates, recruitment suppliers, and the wider HR team.
  • Recruit and source candidates directly for a range of roles using internal networking, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other online media.
  • Manage recruitment system tasks: writing and posting vacancies & job adverts, amending and extending vacancies, setting up candidate interviews, progressing offers of employment, and chasing approvals with the HR team.
  • Handle end-to-end candidate management including pre-screening, telephone interviews, arranging Line Manager interviews, job offer support, and onboarding.
  • Run targeted recruitment campaigns and initiatives, prioritizing direct hires.
  • Establish and maintain talent pools and create pipelines of engaged candidates.
  • Maintain a recruitment tracker detailing all vacancies and their status in the hiring process.
Qualifications

Skills and Experience:

  • Experienced Rail recruiter, preferably with in-house experience in a similar field.
  • Proficient in LinkedIn Recruiter, confident in direct candidate approach, capable of selling opportunities and building rapport.
  • Collaborative team player with initiative and ability to work independently to complete projects.
  • Strong skills in writing compelling job descriptions and adverts.
  • Ability to manage expectations and challenge appropriately.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for relationship building.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional representation of the Group in various forums.
  • Discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is advantageous but not essential.
