Job Description:
- Take responsibility for sourcing and shortlisting candidates for roles in the Rail sector across Engineering, Project Management, Commercial and Project Controls with knowledge of Rail vacancies, companies and projects.
- Build relationships with internal Line Managers, candidates, recruitment suppliers, and the wider HR team.
- Recruit and source candidates directly for a range of roles using internal networking, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other online media.
- Manage recruitment system tasks: writing and posting vacancies & job adverts, amending and extending vacancies, setting up candidate interviews, progressing offers of employment, and chasing approvals with the HR team.
- Handle end-to-end candidate management including pre-screening, telephone interviews, arranging Line Manager interviews, job offer support, and onboarding.
- Run targeted recruitment campaigns and initiatives, prioritizing direct hires.
- Establish and maintain talent pools and create pipelines of engaged candidates.
- Maintain a recruitment tracker detailing all vacancies and their status in the hiring process.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience:
- Experienced Rail recruiter, preferably with in-house experience in a similar field.
- Proficient in LinkedIn Recruiter, confident in direct candidate approach, capable of selling opportunities and building rapport.
- Collaborative team player with initiative and ability to work independently to complete projects.
- Strong skills in writing compelling job descriptions and adverts.
- Ability to manage expectations and challenge appropriately.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for relationship building.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional representation of the Group in various forums.
- Discretion in handling confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is advantageous but not essential.
