Job description

We are seeking a results-driven and people-oriented Accountancy Recruiter to source, attract, and place qualified accounting and finance professionals into suitable roles. The recruiter will work closely with the Head of People to understand requirements, develop sourcing strategies, and manage the end-to-end recruitment process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Head of People to understand accounting and finance role requirements
  • Develop and post job advertisements across relevant platforms (job boards, LinkedIn, industry groups)
  • Source and screen candidates using CV databases, networking, referrals, and headhunting
  • Conduct initial interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates’ technical skills (e.g., accounting, financial analysis, audit, tax)
  • Manage the candidate pipeline from application through offer stage, ensuring a positive experience
  • Build and maintain strong talent pools of accountants, finance managers, auditors, tax specialists, and other finance professionals
  • Provide market insights and salary benchmarking to hiring managers/clients
  • Maintain accurate records on the applicant tracking system (ATS) and ensure compliance with recruitment policies
Role Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of the accountancy and finance sector, including job functions and required qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to assess both technical competencies and soft skills effectively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple vacancies simultaneously
  • Proficiency in recruitment tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, ATS systems).
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
  • Proven recruitment experience in accounting/finance or professional services.
  • Experience in agency recruitment or in-house talent acquisition
  • Familiarity with employment law and recruitment best practices
