Job summary

Places for People is seeking a Recreation Assistant to help keep our leisure centre safe and welcoming in Felixstowe. You will support health and safety at all times, carry out cleaning duties and prepare activity areas for sessions, while working with the Duty Manager and reporting concerns.

The role focuses on delivering friendly customer service, assisting with first aid when required, and maintaining equipment. Flexible working and shift options are available to suit your needs.

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable manner and deliver excellent customer service.
• Assist with first aid when required; some experience.
• Experience in a similar role preferred.
• Experience carrying out cleaning duties and maintaining equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Health and Safety at the centre at all times, including cleaning duties.
• Prepare activity areas for planned sessions.
• Ensure all equipment is stored safely when not in use.
• Work with the Duty Manager; report concerns and carry out patrols.
