Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Recovery Worker in Crewe to join the Substance Misuse team. This full-time 3-month contract offers an hourly rate of £22.

You'll work Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00, supporting service users through referral, assessment, treatment, and recovery. You will conduct assessments, risk reviews, and recovery planning; deliver harm reduction interventions; and run structured groups.

Qualifications

• Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care, Substance Misuse, Counselling, Community Work, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant recovery, motivational interviewing, safeguarding, or substance misuse training is desirable.
• Experience supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse, mental health challenges, offending behaviour, homelessness, or social exclusion.
• Experience managing a caseload within a health, social care, charity, or community-based setting.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from referral and assessment through their treatment and recovery journey.
• Undertake comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, recovery planning, and regular reviews to ensure the best outcomes for service users.
• Deliver harm reduction interventions to reduce drug and alcohol-related risks and improve health outcomes.
• Facilitate structured group sessions, recovery programmes, and psychosocial interventions to support and guide service users on their path to recovery.
