Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Recovery Worker to join a substance misuse service in Watford, Hertfordshire. This locum, full-time position offers an ongoing contract and an attractive hourly rate of £23.00, with a 37.5-hour week at 18 Station Road, Watford.

You will assess clients, deliver one-to-one keyworking sessions, manage a caseload, and collaborate with health professionals to deliver recovery programmes.

Qualifications

• Substance misuse experience with direct client work is required.
• Strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple clients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients and teams.
• Understanding harm reduction principles guiding care.
• Knowledge of recovery models and person-centred planning.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients experiencing substance misuse and create personalised recovery plans.
• Deliver one-to-one keyworking sessions to support recovery journeys.
• Manage and maintain a caseload with high standards of care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and partner agencies.
• Educate clients on harm reduction and recovery-focused approaches.
• Review client progress regularly and adapt plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate records in line with requirements.
