Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a part-time Recovery Worker in Brent, UK, specialising in Substance Misuse. The role offers £22.00 per hour and involves guiding service users on their recovery journey, with ongoing, flexible locum-style engagement within the community.

You will manage caseloads, perform assessments, and deliver evidence-based interventions while collaborating with healthcare professionals to support treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Educated to Level 3 standard or equivalent in Health & Social Care or related discipline.
• Experience with substance misuse, mental health needs, homelessness, or social exclusion is required.
• Experience managing challenging behaviours in community services is preferred.
• Motivational interviewing and recovery-focused practice are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of service users from referral to discharge planning.
• Conduct assessments and risk evaluations to tailor recovery plans.
• Deliver psychosocial interventions, one-to-one sessions and group programmes.
• Collaborate with prescribing clinicians to enhance treatment plans.
• Promote harm reduction and health promotion activities.
