Job summary

Red Sector Recruitment Limited is seeking a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker for a Manchester-based role on a 3-month contracted basis starting ASAP. The position offers a pay rate of £22–£23 per hour, based on a 37.5-hour week, Monday to Friday.

The Recovery Worker will support service users from entry through their treatment and recovery journey, conduct screening and assessment, develop recovery plans, and coordinate onward referrals while promoting social reintegration and community

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to engage service users across treatment stages.

Job description

We currently seeking a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker for our client in Manchester on a 3 month contract to start ASAP.

The rate of pay will be negotiated between £22-23 an hour. This will be 37.5 Hour a Week Contract, Monday to Friday.

As a Recovery Worker you will be required to:

  • Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey;
  • Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral;
  • Reducing alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community;
  • Promoting carer, service user and community involvement;
  • Providing advocacy for access to partnership services;
  • Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self determination.

An Enhanced Adults and Children's DBS on the Update Service will be required for this position
