Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is hiring a Recovery Worker in Stevenage to support individuals on their journey to recovery. You will conduct assessments, develop care plans, and deliver psychosocial interventions focused on harm reduction and wellbeing.

The role is a 4-month contract with a competitive hourly rate of £23.00, offering potential extension. The position emphasizes flexible hours within a 37.5-hour framework.

Qualifications

• Current DBS on the update service.
• Demonstrated experience in substance misuse (drugs & alcohol).
• Strong caseload management and keyworking skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of harm reduction and recovery models.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of service users, guiding them from initial engagement through to treatment, recovery planning, and exit from services.
• Conduct detailed assessments, risk evaluations, care planning, and ongoing reviews per governance policies.
• Facilitate one-to-one and group psychosocial interventions focused on recovery and relapse prevention.
