Job summary

Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Recovery Worker to support individuals through their treatment and recovery journeys. You will manage a full caseload, complete assessments, plan care, and deliver interventions within a multi-disciplinary team, including BBV testing and community outreach.

You will work across the New Forest service with a focus on recovery, safeguarding, and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of safeguarding and risk management.
• Accredited Drug and Alcohol Practitioner, or willingness to work towards accreditation during employment.
• Foundation Degree / HNC in related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a full caseload of complex clients and support recovery progress.
• Accept referrals, assess needs, and make recommendations within a robust duty system.
• Provide harm reduction advice and support for BBV, HIV and hepatitis care.
• Carry out comprehensive assessments and develop care packages with MDT colleagues.
• Deliver psychosocial interventions and facilitate group work sessions.
• Make domiciliary visits and maintain contact with service users in various settings.
• Provide a needle exchange service and sustain links with external services.
