Job summary

Red Sector Recruitment Limited is seeking a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker for a Reading-based role on a 3-month contract, starting ASAP. The position pays £22-£23 per hour for a 37.5-hour week, Monday to Friday. A DBS check (Enhanced Adults and Children) is required.

The role involves supporting service users through entry into the service and their recovery journey, along with screening, assessment, and onward referrals to ensure effective treatment and recovery planning.

Qualifications

• Experience in substance misuse recovery settings preferred.
• Enhanced DBS check for Adults and Children (Update Service) required.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry into the service and through their treatment journey.
• Provide screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referral.
• Reduce alcohol-related harm for service users and wider community.
• Promote involvement of carers, service users and community.
• Provide advocacy for access to partnership services.
• Support social reintegration to help individuals lead meaningful lives.
