Job summary

Service Care Solutions Ltd is seeking a Recovery Worker for the Drug & Alcohol Service in Nottinghamshire. You will manage a caseload, deliver individual interventions, and work with partners to coordinate care.

DBS checks welcomed; experience with SystmOne is a plus, and you will safeguard adults while promoting recovery-focused support. This role offers a 3‑month contract, with a 30‑hour week over four days and competitive pay.

Qualifications

  • Experience in drug and alcohol/substance misuse sector.
  • Experience managing a caseload and delivering recovery-focused interventions.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to undertake one).
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of individuals accessing drug and alcohol treatment services.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, recovery plans and regular reviews.
  • Deliver structured one-to-one interventions, harm-reduction advice and recovery-focused support.
  • Promote positive outcomes through personalised care planning and goal setting.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, social care, housing providers and partner agencies to ensure coordinated care.
  • Safeguard vulnerable adults and ensure all interventions are delivered in line with current legislation and best practice.
  • Maintain accurate, timely and compliant case records using SystmOne.
  • Support service users to access education, employment, housing and other community resources that promote long-term recovery.
  • Contribute to achieving service performance targets and quality standards.

Recovery Worker – Drug & Alcohol Service

Location: Nottinghamshire

Rate: Up to £24.00 per hour (Umbrella). PAYE Inclusive: £21.16 per hour. PAYE (Excluding Holiday Pay): £18.89 per hour.

Contract: 3 months. Hours: 5 days per week, 09:00–17:00, 37.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of individuals accessing drug and alcohol treatment services.
