Job summary

Red Sector Recruitment Limited is seeking a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker for a Reading-based role on a 3-month contract, starting ASAP. The position pays £22-£23 per hour for a 37.5-hour week, Monday to Friday. A DBS check (Enhanced Adults and Children) is required.

The role involves supporting service users through entry into the service and their recovery journey, along with screening, assessment, and onward referrals to ensure effective treatment and recovery planning.

Job description

We currently seeking a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker for our client in Reading on a 3 month contract to start ASAP.

The rate of pay will be negotiated between £22-23 an hour. This will be 37.5 Hour a Week Contract, Monday to Friday.

As a Recovery Worker you will be required to:

* Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey;

* Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral;

* Reducing alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community;

* Promoting carer, service user and community involvement;

* Providing advocacy for access to partnership services;

* Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self determination.

An Enhanced Adults and Children's DBS on the Update Service will be required for this position
