Job summary

The Society of St James is a dynamic charity and housing association based in Hampshire, delivering recovery-focused accommodation services to adults and youths facing homelessness and substance use issues.

This role contributes to a new person-centered Recovery Service in Portsmouth, using behavioural change and trauma-informed approaches including Acceptance & Commitment therapy, mindfulness, self-compassion, and related activities.

Qualifications

  • Responsibilities include group facilitation and one-to-one sessions.
  • Provide emotional support online via Zoom and in person.
  • Attend multi-agency meetings and coordinate with internal/external services.
  • Keep daily welfare records in the team database.
  • Help transport clients to appointments or assist in arranging them.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include group facilitation, providing one-to-one sessions, offering emotional support both online via Zoom and in person, attending and arranging multi-agency meetings, and working closely with internal services and external agencies. You will also help run a busy open-plan service (including answering phones), keep daily records of clients’ welfare within the team and database system, take clients to appointments or support them to arrange appointments, and organise off-site activities.
