Society of St James (SSJ) in Southampton is seeking an enthusiastic Accommodation Support Worker to join the Accommodation Support Service. The role requires managing residents' day-to-day support with a person-centred approach, helping them stay in accommodation and progress to move on options.

We are looking for someone empathetic, with experience of working with at-risk individuals or in a residential setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working with people at risk or in a residential setting.
• Empathetic and dedicated to client group.
• Car driver is essential for travel across Southampton.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of residents, delivering high-quality day-to-day support with a person-centred approach.
• Help residents achieve goals, retain accommodation and explore move-on options.
• Develop residents life skills, provide emotional support and harm minimisation strategies.
• Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and external partners.
• Implement support planning, risk assessment and safeguarding.
