Job summary

Waythrough is seeking a Recovery Worker for the Redcar and Cleveland Supported Housing service. You will provide person-centered support to adults facing mental health challenges, helping them sustain tenancy, build skills and work toward greater independence.

The role is permanent, part-time at 22 hours per week, with a rota that includes sleepovers, weekends and on-call duties. Training and supervision are provided in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Empathy, patience and resilience in challenging situations.
• Ability to work flexibly within a rota including sleepovers and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, promoting recovery and independence.
• Assist with budgeting and tenancy management, supporting daily living tasks.
• Develop coping strategies and connect clients to community resources and education or employment opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to support planning and review processes.
• Participate in rota including sleepovers, weekend work and on-call duties.
