Good Shepherd Services, Ltd in Wolverhampton seeks an Outreach Recovery Worker for WHIRS to support street sleepers and those recently housed. You will deliver outreach engagement, person-centred recovery planning, and harm-reduction based support to help people access treatment and housing pathways.

The role requires collaboration with health, social care and homelessness partners, with a focus on compassionate, trauma-informed practice and practical support in community settings.

Formación

• Experience supporting people experiencing street sleeping, homelessness, addiction or multiple needs.
• Experience of outreach, assertive engagement or community-based support.
• Experience completing assessments, support plans, case notes and risk assessments.
• Ability to work collaboratively with homelessness, housing, health, treatment, outreach and community partners.
• Strong engagement, listening and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Work alongside partners to engage street sleepers and those at risk of returning to street sleeping.
• Meet people where they are across streets, hostels, primary care sites and partner venues.
• Develop person-centred recovery plans to build motivation, safety and stability.
• Support engagement with lived-experience activities, peer support and mutual aid.
• Provide trauma-informed, harm-reduction focused support and facilitate treatment engagement.
