Job summary

The Recovery Sustainment Worker role at WHIRS in Wolverhampton supports people who are rough sleeping or recently housed to sustain accommodation and access treatment. You will work in a multi-agency setting with partners like Recovery Near You, P3, Changing Lives, and CWC homelessness teams, delivering person-centred recovery planning and tenancy sustainment.

This fixed-term three-year contract requires compassionate, trauma-informed practice, strong engagement skills and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Good standard of general education, including English and Maths, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant qualification in health and social care, substance use, housing, homelessness, recovery support, community work or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage with people who may be reluctant to engage with services and build trust.
• Provide assessments, support plans, risk assessments, safety plans and case notes.
• Coordinate with housing providers and partner agencies to sustain accommodation and reduce repeat homelessness.
• Maintain accurate records and evidence outcomes of recovery and housing stability.
