Job summary

Change Grow Live in Swindon is seeking a Recovery Coordinator to assess and engage with service users, ensuring access to the right interventions at the right time. You will join the Opiate Team and support people with drug issues in a compassionate, person-centred approach.

The role requires strong substance misuse understanding, excellent communication, and the ability to work with partners and professionals while upholding safeguarding and information governance standards.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and/or experience in a similar field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with good IT skills.
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with strong time management and prioritising.
• Supportive team player with ability to work with diverse professionals and external partners.
• Ability to manage change with a focus on service users.
• Understand information governance and adherence to safeguards.
• Desire to learn and contribute to others' development.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry through treatment/recovery journey.
• Provide screening, assessment, and recovery planning with onward referral.
• Reduce drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the community.
• Promote carer, service user and community involvement.
• Advocate access to partnership services.
• Utilise Motivational Interviewing techniques.
• Ensure safeguarding for children and adults.
• Coordinate liaison with police, probation, courts, prisons.
• Build social reintegration and promote recovery and resilience.
