Job summary

Change Grow Live in Coventry is seeking a Recovery Coordinator to support service users from entry through treatment and recovery. You will assess, engage and empower individuals, coordinating referrals and planning to meet their needs in a compassionate, evidence-based way.

The role requires strong communication, group facilitation skills, and the ability to work with partners to reduce harm. The team values innovation, compassion and courage, with a clear emphasis on safeguarding and learning

Qualifications

• Understanding of substance misuse issues and related field experience.
• Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with good IT skills.
• Proactive with strong time management and prioritisation skills.
• Knowledge of mental health interventions and good practice.
• Ability to cooperate with a wide range of professionals and stakeholders.
• Commitment to information governance and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry into the service and throughout treatment/recovery.
• Provide screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referral.
• Reduce drug and alcohol related harm for service users and community.
• Promote involvement of carers, service users and community.
• Advocate access to partnership services.
• Help service users with social reintegration and recovery.
• Prepare materials for groups/pods.
• Deliver structured content within group settings.
• Debrief with co-facilitators after groups and address concerns.
• Tailor workshops to service users’ needs.
