Job summary

Change Grow Live in Swindon is recruiting an Entry Into Service Recovery Worker to support service users from entry through their treatment journey. You will assess, plan and facilitate recovery, with a focus on reducing substance-related harm and enabling social reintegration.

The role requires clear communication, group facilitation skills and the ability to work collaboratively with partners. It offers 37.5 hours weekly, a contributory pension, generous annual leave and career development

Qualifications

• Understand substance misuse issues and service user needs.
• Manage group dynamics and handle challenging behaviour.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with IT skills.
• Proactive, initiative-taking with strong time management.
• Knowledge of mental health interventions and good practice.
• Ability to collaborate with professionals and stakeholders.
• Commitment to safeguarding and information governance.

Responsibilities

• Supporting service users from entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey.
• Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral.
• Reducing drug and alcohol harm to service users and wider community.
• Promoting carer, service user and community involvement.
• Providing advocacy for access to partnership services.
• Working with service users to support social reintegration and recovery.
• Designing and delivering group content for different recovery stages.
• Conducting debriefs and evaluations with co-facilitators.
• Tailoring workshops to service user needs.
