Job summary

Change Grow Live in London (Walthamstow) is seeking a Recovery Coordinator to support service users throughout their treatment journey. You will screen, assess, and plan recovery, while coordinating referrals and promoting community involvement.

The role emphasises group work delivery, safeguarding and collaboration with partner services. We require strong communication, initiative, and experience with groups, plus a patient, empathetic approach to empower service users toward recovery and

Qualifications

• Experience in substance misuse support or similar field.
• Experience facilitating groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and IT skills.
• Proactive, with good time management and prioritisation.
• Knowledge of mental health interventions and good practice.
• Ability to work in partnership with a range of professionals and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage change prioritising service users' needs.
• Understanding information governance and safeguarding requirements.
• Commitment to learning and development of others.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry through treatment/recovery journey.
• Provide screening, assessment, and recovery planning with onward referral.
• Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm for service users and community.
• Promote involvement of carers, service users, and community.
• Advocate access to partnership services.
• Support social reintegration and peer support.
• Prepare and tailor materials for groups/pods.
• Deliver structured content in group settings for various recovery stages.
• Debrief with co-facilitators after groups and address concerns.
• Tailor workshops to service users' needs.
