Job summary

We Are With You in Truro, Cornwall is seeking a Life Skills Worker to support clients facing drugs, alcohol and mental health challenges. You will develop engaging group sessions, maintain a structured timetable and document progress as part of a supportive team.

The role is full-time (37.5 hours, Mon-Fri with occasional Saturday) with a salary of £28,000 per annum pro rata (includes a £1,000 annual allowance). Closing date 19 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and motivated individual with a genuine desire to help others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
• Experience of delivering training or other group activities.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your time and caseload effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support clients to develop the essential life skills needed for independent and fulfilling lives.
• Deliver engaging, varied group sessions and maintain a structured timetable.
• Keep accurate and timely records of interactions and contribute to care planning.
• Work as part of a supportive team and share best practices to improve outcomes.
