Meadowcroft PICU is seeking an enthusiastic activity worker to support patients in engaging in activities on and off the ward. You will use strong interpersonal skills to encourage participation in physical health, wellness, and rehabilitation activities within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifikationen

• Able to support patients in activities on and off the ward.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage patients.
• Understanding of recovery model and stigma reduction in mental health.

Aufgaben

• Plan a flexible weekly timetable of group and one-to-one activities, including arts, games, and physical fitness.
• Support patients to engage in activities to build confidence, reduce boredom, manage symptoms and learn coping skills.
• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and nurses as part of the MDT to support journeys to a less restrictive ward.
• Monitor patient responses to activities, track progress, and report changes in behaviour or mental state to the nursing team.
