Job summary

Change Grow Live in Romford is seeking a Sessional Recovery Coordinator to assess and engage service users, ensuring access to appropriate interventions. You will work with probation to support the journey, deliver group sessions, and tailor workshops to needs. DBS check and right to work in the UK are required.

The role involves screening, recovery planning, advocacy, and collaboration with a broad range of professionals. Pro rata salary offered for part-time hours.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience in a similar field.
• Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with good IT skills.
• Proactive, able to work on own initiative with strong time management.
• Knowledge of mental health interventions and good practice.
• Ability to work with a wide range of professionals and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage change prioritising service users.
• Understand information governance and safeguards.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry into the service and through treatment/recovery journey.
• Screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referral.
• Reduce drug and alcohol related harm to service users and community.
• Promote involvement of carers, service users and community.
• Advocate access to partnership services.
• Support social reintegration and peer support.
• Create and prepare subject matter for groups/pods.
• Deliver structured content within group settings.
• Engage in debriefing and progress reviews with co-facilitators.
• Tailor workshops to service user needs (anger management, sleep, relationships).
