Job summary

Waythrough is seeking a Recovery Coordinator to join the Reconnected to Health team at HMP Deerbolt in County Durham. The role involves managing a caseload of individuals with substance misuse issues, coordinating treatment, and delivering harm-reduction interventions to support sustainable recovery.

You will work within a prison environment, develop personalised recovery plans, and collaborate with prison staff and partner agencies to promote safety, wellbeing and meaningful rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, or willing to work towards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes.
• Experience with motivational interviewing and psychosocial interventions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload with assessments and recovery plans.
• Provide one-to-one and group interventions to support recovery.
• Coordinate with prison staff and external partners to access treatment.
