Job summary

Waythrough is recruiting a Recovery Coordinator for the New Vision Bradford service in Bradford. You will manage your own caseload, deliver both one-to-one and group psychosocial interventions, and work with teams to support people through assessment, treatment and sustained recovery.

We seek compassionate professionals with a background in health and social care, strong communication, safeguarding awareness, and a commitment to person-centred support.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
• Ability to deliver effective interventions, including brief interventions and psychosocial approaches.
• Experience delivering one-to-one and group therapeutic interventions.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills; able to work with colleagues and external partners.
• Ability to provide person-centred support while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Understanding of assessment, recovery planning, risk management and safeguarding.
• Knowledge of substance misuse and harm-reduction approaches is advantageous.
• Good IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office and electronic systems.
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g., addiction studies, counselling, social work) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload, developing and reviewing individual recovery and treatment plans.
• Complete triage, screening and assessments with people accessing the service.
• Support progression from engagement through structured treatment to sustained recovery.
• Deliver high-quality one-to-one and group psychosocial interventions.
• Complete risk and safeguarding assessments and take actions to protect people.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues, families and partner agencies.
• Help people access treatment and community resources to support recovery.
• Support harm-reduction activities and maintenance of up-to-date records.
