Job summary

Waythrough in London is seeking a Recovery Coordinator to provide holistic, person-centred support to adults affected by alcohol and substance use. You will coordinate treatment pathways, undertake assessments and manage risk, delivering clinical and psychosocial interventions to support sustainable recovery.

Working with prescribing clinicians and other healthcare professionals, you will generate prescriptions, develop recovery-focused groups, and support service users to access training,

Qualifications

• Experience as Recovery Coordinator or similar role handling adults with complex alcohol/substance use needs.
• Strong understanding of recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, person-centred and strengths-based practice.
• Experience/knowledge of prescription generation and printing processes.
• Experience planning, developing and facilitating groups/workshops/structured activities.
• Ability to undertake comprehensive assessments, manage complex caseloads, identify/respond to risk, maintain records.
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary and multi-agency environments.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload with complex needs and coordinate person-centred care and recovery plans.
• Coordinate treatment pathways and deliver psychosocial interventions to support sustainable recovery.
• Generate prescriptions in line with clinical instructions and liaise with clinicians.
• Plan and facilitate structured recovery-focused groups and activities.
• Collaborate with service users, families, carers and external agencies to access training and employment opportunities.
• Monitor progress, update records and contribute to service reviews and development of programmes.
• Promote involvement of service users and carers to improve outcomes.
