Job summary

Change Grow Live in Wirral is seeking a Recovery Coordinator to support service users from entry through their recovery journey. You will handle screening, assessment, planning and onward referrals while reducing harm and promoting user involvement.

The role requires strong communication, group facilitation skills and a solid understanding of substance misuse and mental health. This is a 37.5-hour/week fixed-term contract offering development opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience in a similar field.
• Experience working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with good IT literacy.
• Proactive, able to work on own initiative with strong time management.
• Knowledge of mental health interventions and good practice.
• Ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage change prioritising service user needs.
• Understanding information governance and safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry into the service and through treatment/recovery journey
• Provide screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referral
• Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm to service users and the wider community
• Promote carer, service user and community involvement
• Advocate for access to partnership services
• Support social reintegration and recovery-oriented activities
• Design and deliver group content and workshops for service users
• Lead debriefings and evaluations with co-facilitators
• Tailor workshops to service users’ needs
