Recoveries Team Leader - Legal - Leeds

Collections Team Leader - Overdales

Thorpe Park, Leeds. Hybrid Working

Our team is growing, and we are looking for a new Team Leader to join our 3PC department. You will motivate and lead Front Line Negotiators across our call or correspondence channels.

You will be responsible for leading all aspects of your team's performance, ensuring they meet targets, KPIs, and compliance standards. We seek candidates with strong communication and leadership skills, and a desire to support and develop people.

Responsibilities:
  1. Day-to-day Management: Provide work direction, oversee activities, conduct workload and file reviews, and ensure efficient operations.
  2. Supervision and Evaluation: Assist with account queries and escalated calls, manage a senior caseload, and conduct performance reviews.
  3. Process Improvement: Identify and recommend process enhancements, contribute to the Business Improvement Forum, and collaborate with internal audit.
  4. Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, internal policies, risk frameworks, and client requirements.
  5. Strategy Development: Work with leadership to shape collection strategies and ensure compliance with company procedures.
  6. Training & Development: Coach and upskill team members, fostering a multiskilled team of collections advisors.
  7. Performance Achievement: Drive the team to meet targets, KPIs, and financial goals; develop metrics and MI for performance optimization.
  8. Client Management: Support client audits and communicate operational feedback to client management.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a litigation environment is desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership, coaching, and motivational skills.
  • Ability to make fair and objective judgments under pressure.
  • Experience in commercial debt recovery is advantageous.
