£18.81 - £20.68 per hour (£36,780 - £40,437 per annum.)

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional nights/weekends.

Job Description

If you are an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse with an interest in palliative care, oncology, and other life-limiting conditions, there is an opportunity to join the fantastic inpatient unit at Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice in Leeds.

Wheatfields Hospice supports people aged 18 and over living with conditions like cancer, heart failure, and lung disease. We aim to ease or prevent symptoms and provide psychological and spiritual support to patients, their families, and friends. You will play a key role in enhancing quality of life by using a holistic approach to care, promoting independence, and delivering specialist services for symptom management.

Team and Training

We operate a Team Nursing approach, with each team caring for six patients and managed by approximately 9.6 full-time equivalent nurses and nursing assistants. Training and CPD opportunities are available both on and off-site. As a senior team member, you will be involved in staff and student education and development.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Holistic approach to patient care.
• Knowledge of palliative care and management experience.
• Ability to contribute to service development.
