THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 12 MONTHS DUE TO MEETING THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE

The East Primary Care Team is looking for an experienced, organised and enthusiastic Receptionist to work in our Health Board managed GP Practice (Beechley Medical Centre, Wrexham).
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be booking appointments and dealing with patient queries; therefore, excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner are required.
Proficient IT skills (including experience of Microsoft Office) are also required, as the post holder will undertake various administrative duties to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, including data inputting.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a healthcare setting or customer service environment, but full training can be provided to the right candidate.
The post holder may be required to work at other Health Board managed GP practices in the East area on an ad hoc basis to meet service needs and cover staff absences. This will be discussed at interview.
Knowledge of Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally encouraged to apply. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will learn Welsh following appointment.
