Glenpark & Teams Medical Services is seeking a receptionist/administrator for a busy general practice setting. You will greet patients, answer enquiries, and direct them to the correct healthcare professional while maintaining confidentiality and a courteous bedside manner.
Role involves handling repeat prescriptions, coordinating appointments, and using EMIS Web within a supportive team across two sites in Gateshead. Monday–Friday, strong English/Maths literacy required.
You will be the first point of contact for patients and will project a positive and friendly image to both patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone. You will receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective manner. You will also undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practices., The below list is not exhaustive but contains some of the main duties of the role:
