Tamworth House Medical Centre is seeking a GP Receptionist/Administrator to join a busy East Merton practice. The role requires excellent organisation, strong communication, and ability to work under pressure. Previous GP practice experience and EMIS knowledge are advantageous.
You will support clinical staff with clerical duties, manage the reception and appointment system, and communicate via email as part of moving to electronic NHS communications.
We are a busy practice in Merton looking for a GP Receptionist\ Administrator to join our friendly team. Previous experience of GP practice and EMIS would be an advantage. Must be able to work under pressure, be organised, have good communication skills and be part of a dynamic and supportive team.
Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone
Have a high degree of empathy, diplomacy and integrity and be able to demonstrate sensitivity and an awareness of patients needs
Experience in a customer care facing environment that you can evidence within your application
Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice, including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team
Be reliable, professional and adaptable to excel in an ever-changing environment
Due to the NHS commitment to moving to full electronic communications you must have excellent keyboard and computer skills, with a working knowledge of basic MS office programs such as Word / Excel and be comfortable communicating via email
