The Hurley Group is an NHS organisation that runs a number of GP practices, walk-in, and urgent care centres across London. We have been providing patient-centred care since 1969, working within some of the UK’s most deprived communities.
We are currently looking to recruit for the following position at our Sternhall Lane Surgery, on a permanent contract, working Monday to Friday.
Hours: 20 hours per week (0.5 WTE)
Site: Sternhall Lane Surgery

The successful candidates will have experience in a primary care setting, demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, and be competent in Information Technology. You should be a team player, adaptable, and possess good communication skills, motivation, initiative, assertiveness, and a willingness to learn.

POST: Receptionist
LINE MANAGER/SUPERVISOR: Reception Manager
LOCATION: Sternhall Lane Surgery
JOB PURPOSE:
The role of the Receptionist is to assist patients in the easiest possible way to see a clinician. To facilitate this, the receptionist will ensure that:
I. Patient enquiries are handled courteously, efficiently, and with empathy.
II. Filing, record keeping, and the distribution of documents are undertaken efficiently and promptly.
III. Administration tasks are undertaken with care and attention to detail.
Additional responsibilities include producing letters and reports promptly, handling enquiries courteously, typing referral letters, record keeping for referrals, managing referrals and invoices, preparing reports, liaising with outside agencies, and maintaining patient records.
