Job summary

Champneys Henlow is seeking a Front of House Receptionist to warmly welcome guests, check them in and out, handle enquiries and ensure a seamless arrival experience at one of the UK’s iconic luxury spa brands.

This part‑time role offers 32 hours per week with a salary of up to £12.71 per hour plus tips, plus access to Champneys benefits and staff discounts, with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Natural, warm and professional approach.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage payments accurately.
• Calm and solutions focused when handling guest feedback or challenges.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, guest focused environment.
• Previous reception or hospitality experience is desirable, but not essential – full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a warm, professional welcome and efficient check-in experience.
• Manage guest check-outs, payments, accounts and robe controls.
• Handle guest enquiries, resolve concerns and escalate where appropriate.
• Administer payments and end of day procedures in line with company guidelines.
• Prepare arrivals for future dates to ensure a seamless guest journey.
• Operate the switchboard and transfer calls professionally.
• Liaise with Housekeeping and other departments to support guest satisfaction.
• Support continuous improvement of reception performance and profitability.
• Complete administrative duties and attend training as required.
• Work in line with Champneys’ policies, procedures and health & safety standards.

As a Front of House Receptionist, you’ll play a pivotal role in the day to day running of reception, delivering outstanding service to every guest. You’ll ensure check ins and check outs run smoothly, enquiries are handled professionally, and guest satisfaction remains at the heart of everything you do.

You’ll be a knowledgeable ambassador for the resort, confident in answering questions about the property, facilities and local area, and proactive in resolving issues to ensure every stay is memorable.

What You’ll Be Doing
