Job description

Role: Receptionist
Location: Devon
Salary / Rate of pay: £25,396.80 p.a.

Are you ready to join a dynamic team where no two days are the same? We are looking for an enthusiastic hotel Receptionist to provide top-notch service at a beautiful client in Devon.

Reception Responsibilities:
  1. Checking guests in and out
  2. Manage the PMS system (Guestline), including room allocations
  3. Respond to any inquiries via email and phone
  4. Prepare a catering list with important information and make sure the kitchen and front of house are aware
  5. Manage a comprehensive handover to the following shift
  6. Help guests with local enquiries, bookings, tickets, and travel arrangements
  7. Responsible for guest security and ensuring their belongings are labelled correctly
  8. Assist with other general duties as and when required
Desired qualifications & skills:
  1. Experience: Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is desired
  2. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills with a friendly demeanour to interact effectively with guests from diverse backgrounds
  3. Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  4. A Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated when working independently
  5. IT Skills: Understanding of PMS systems and Guestline knowledge would be advantageous
