Receptionist

Bournemouth Hospital | Customer Service | Permanent Part-Time Contract

Salary: £24,043.50 per annum (pro-rata)

Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Shift Pattern: 3 days a week with shifts from 07:00-15:00, 13:00-21:00, Saturday 07:00-17:00, and Sunday 09:00-14:00. Working 1 in 4 weekends and covering bank holidays.

Role Overview

As a Receptionist at our hospital, you will need excellent communication, IT, and keyboard skills. You should be able to clearly and sympathetically explain sensitive or complex information. Previous experience in healthcare administration or reception is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Make visitors feel comfortable upon arrival.
  2. Utilize your empathy and customer service skills to foster positive relationships.
  3. Answer calls, handle inquiries, and schedule appointments.
  4. Greet patients in person and direct them to appropriate areas.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth department operations.
  6. Prepare clinical paperwork, referral forms, charge sheets, and terms and conditions.
