Job summary

Ghyllgrove Primary School in Basildon is seeking to appoint a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our busy office team. You will welcome parents, visitors and children and support a range of admin tasks.

This part-time role (39 weeks per year) reflects Scale 3 points 6–7, with an actual salary of £11,197–£11,375 plus a £304 outer fringe allowance. The successful candidate will demonstrate ICT skills, teamwork and discretion.

Qualifications

  • Good working knowledge of ICT including Word, Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of SIMS Next Gen is desirable.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with children, parents, staff and outside agencies.
  • Strong understanding of discretion and confidentiality.
  • First Aid qualification desirable; knowledge of Teachers to Parents/School Money desirable.

Ghyllgrove Primary School are seeking to appoint a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our busy office team.

You will welcome parents, visitors and children. This role requires flexibility, patience and a sense of humour.

The successful candidate will also have:

  • a good working knowledge of ICT including Word, Excel and Microsoft
  • knowledge of SIMS. Next Gen (desirable but not essential)
  • ability to work as part of a team
  • excellent interpersonal skills being able to relate well to children, parents, staff and outside agencies
  • a clear understanding of the need for discretion and confidentiality
  • First Aid qualification (desirable but not essential) Knowledge of Teachers to Parents/School Money (desirable but not essential)
