Job summary

Senploy is assisting a welcoming primary school in Norfolk in their search for a Reception Teacher. This full-time, long-term position starts November 2026, with existing planning in place to support high-quality teaching and engaging early years provision.

The successful candidate will work in a pupil-friendly EYFS environment, helping children begin their educational journey with strong safeguarding and collaborative teamwork. Salary is competitive and dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• QTS is required.
• Experience in EYFS/Reception settings.
• Strong classroom management and organisation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons using pre-prepared planning and resources.
• Create a stimulating and well-organised Reception learning environment.
• Set up weekly classroom activities and provision areas based on planning.
• Organise, maintain, and refresh continuous provision areas.
• Pack away and reorganise resources from weekly activities.
• Support children's development in line with the EYFS framework.
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to assessment processes.
• Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, wellbeing and achievement.

Duties as a Reception Teacher:

Ideal Reception Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within EYFS or Reception
• Strong understanding of the EYFS Framework
• Experience setting up engaging classroom provision and learning environments
• Excellent organisational and classroom management skills
• Creative and proactive approach to learning
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
