Connex Education are seeking a proactive Early Years Teaching Assistant to support young children in a nurturing and engaging learning environment in Handsworth, Birmingham.

You will work closely with the class teacher to foster play-based learning, independence, and social development, including support for children with additional needs while upholding safeguarding and equality guidelines.

• Level 3 Early Years Qualification or Equivalent Level 3 UK Educational qualification required.
• Previous experience working in Educational setting is essential.

Connex Education are seeking a proactive and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to support young children in a nurturing and engaging learning environment. This role requires someone confident working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), including those with additional needs, who can build positive relationships to encourage learning, confidence, and social development. The successful candidate will support children through play-based learning, promote independence, and help create a safe, stimulating classroom environment. They should be patient, adaptable, and passionate about supporting each child's individual development, acting as a positive role model within the setting while working closely with the class teacher and wider school team.

Role Requirements

• Level 3 Early Years Qualification or Equivalent Level 3 UK Educational qualification is required.
• Previous experience working in Educational is essential.

• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education.
