Job summary

Engage Education, in partnership with a Good Ofsted-rated primary school in Ashton-under-Lyne, is seeking an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to support reception children as they begin their educational journey.

This full-time, long-term role offers a nurturing environment, opportunities for play-based learning, and a chance to contribute to children’s early literacy and social development, with dedicated CPD and DBS support provided.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within the Reception classroom
• Work with individuals and small groups to develop early literacy, numeracy and communication skills
• Support children through play-based learning and continuous provision
• Help create a stimulating and engaging learning environment both indoors and outdoors
• Encourage children’s social, emotional and personal development through positive interactions
• Assist with observations and contribute to monitoring children’s progress
• Work closely with the class teacher to ensure every child receives the support they need to flourish

Pay: £95-£105 per day (dependent on experience)

Engage Education is working in partnership with a welcoming Good-rated, one-form entry primary school in Ashton-under-Lyne to recruit an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant.

As part of the Early Years team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting children as they begin their educational journey.

About the Role

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:
